Loretta Au, M.D.
Dr. Loretta Au is a board-certified pediatrician with more than 25 years’ experience. She is the Chief of Pediatrics at the Charles B. Wang Community Health Center in Manhattan.
She provides primary care to patients up to 21 years of age, including regular checkups, diagnosis and treatment of childhood illnesses, and immunizations. Dr. Au also provides health education, referrals, and care coordination with specialists.
Dr. Au has contributed to her field through publications and research, and has implemented evidence-based programs in early childhood development. She takes a comprehensive approach to understanding her patients and their families to provide the best care. She emphasizes prevention as an essential part of her care plan. Additionally, she believes both assessing and addressing mental health needs of the patient are as important as the physical needs for the best patient outcomes.
In her free time, Dr. Au enjoys spending time with her three cats, growing succulent plants, hiking outdoors, and shopping at vintage stores.
