The Charles B. Wang Community Health Center (CBWCHC) will host its annual health fair, Good Health Day (GHD), on Saturday, August 6 from 10a.m.-3p.m. Sara D. Roosevelt Park in Chinatown, Manhattan and on Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 10a.m.-3p.m. in the parking lot of their 37th Avenue Flushing site.
An annual Health Center tradition, Good Health Day empowers community residents to take charge and lead healthier lifestyles. Coinciding with 2022 National Health Center Week (August 7-13), the health fair will feature free education activities and free health screenings by CBWCHC care team members and community partners. Participants can learn about prevention and management of common chronic illnesses (such as diabetes hypertension, and cardiovascular disease), prenatal care, family planning, child healthcare, oral care, mental health, social services, health insurance information, and much more.
Free Health Screenings (Last Screening at 2:30pm) – No appointment needed. Body Mass Index (BMI), Blood pressure, Glucose level, & Hepatitis B.

More than 30 healthcare and social service organizations will also be present at both locations to provide health awareness information together with local vendors, children’s activities (fun tooth brushing demonstrations and mask giveaways) and entertainment (drum dancing, martial arts demonstrations, CPR demonstrations, self-defense classes, and Zumba).
